The Trecena Reflection Zine is the first edition of our forthcoming Cholq’ij 260-Day Reflection Journal—created by Toj + Tijax.

This shorter 13-day version offers an accessible way to begin walking with the nawales, the day energies of the Cholq’ij ceremonial calendar. It’s a starting place for reflection, dream weaving, and building relationship with ancestral time, no matter where you are on your journey. Several pages in this edition feature artwork created during our community workshops on cacao and ixim, carried forward from those shared moments of creativity.

The Trecena Zine includes:

  • Guidance on starting a 13-day reflection practice

  • Daily prompts for ceremony, observation, and connection

  • Space to track feelings, dreams, and events in alignment with the day energies

  • Artwork and inspiration from our community workshops

Format: PDF (downloadable and printable)
Length: 13-day journal (Trecena)

Why free?
We believe the knowledge, cosmology, and practices of the Maya are collective inheritance, not individual property. This zine is offered in the spirit of remembrance, reciprocity, and accessibility.
